44.000 ACRES OF CLEAR BLUE WATER, 750 MILES OF PRISTINE SHORELINE, 0  CROWDS!

Lake Martin is Alabama's 2nd largest lake, the most beautiful in the south and one of the country's best-kept secrets. But...our secret is getting out!

The lake was created when Alabama Power completed the building of a hydroelectric dam in 1926 to generate electricity.  At the time it was first built, Lake Martin held claim as the largest man-made reservoir in the country and it remains one of the largest today.

Lake Martin is sparsely developed with homes occupying less than 35% of its shoreline. The Russell family has called this area home since 1846 and was instrumental in the formation of the lake.  Russell Lands owns 280 miles of shoreline and its fundamental corporate philosophy is to preserve the lake's water quality and to ensure that Lake Martin remains the jewel it has been for so many generations.

While Lake Martin is worlds away from the hustle and bustle of everyday living, it's still driving distance to several cities:  30 minutes to Montgomery, 30 minutes to Auburn, 1 hour- 15 minutes to Birmingham,  1 hour - 15 minutes to Columbus and only 2 hours to Atlanta.

The beauty of Lake Martin produces an environment that inspires people of all ages.  It's tranquility is able to heal a work-weary soul while still providing lots of fun activities for the young and the young-at-heart.  Boating, fishing, water sports, and award-winning golf are ever present.  But when you just need a place away from home to relax and recharge, Lake Martin's serenity will not disappoint you.

Don't delay!  Contact me now to schedule a visit.  You'll want to start creating your own family memories on the lake!
